Marilyn Allen

Born in Bloomingdale, Indiana, Marilyn has been a member of the Covered Bridge Art Association since 1978.  She remembers always having an interest in art but not really developing that interest until 1977.

Primarily working in oil, Marilyn favors landscapes and floral subjects for her paintings.  She exhibits at local art shows and at the Parke County Fair.

In 1993 she was a featured artist for the Meridian Mutual Insurance Company, and in 1995 the Indiana Farmers' Mutual Insurance Company paid her similar honors.  The 1995 Parke County Guide also profiled her.

Marilyn was in the insurance industry for 40 years.  She is now Parke County Assessor.
